SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University head men's tennis coach Peter MacDonald has announced the signing of Zack Radetzky of Calgary, Alberta, to a national letter-of-intent to join the Bulldogs next fall.

A senior at St. Francis High in Calgary, Radetzky concluded the 2005 season as the top-ranked U-18 singles and doubles player in Alberta, was ranked in the top 10 in Canada for U-18 singles and was in the top four in U-18 doubles. He has won the Alberta Provincial singles and doubles titles and was a Gold medalist at the 2005 Canada Summer Games. He finished second in the U-18 Canadian Outdoor National Championships in doubles, and was a doubles quarterfinalist in the Canadian Indoor National Championships in 2005. He also tied for 13th in singles in the U-18 Canadian Indoor National Championships last year.

"Zach will come in and play at the top of our lineup," MacDonald said. "He will definitely help us become more competitive, especially in the West Coast Conference Championship. He is a proven player."
