Ozurovich & Coetzee Earn WCC All-Academic Honors

The USD men's tennis team received some good news with the announcement that senior Matt Ozurovich and sophomore Chris Coetzee were both named to the 2007 WCC Spring All-Academic Team. Ozurovich, an Accounting major with a 3.61 GPA, was 15-4 in sinlges this past year for the Toreros that placed 2nd in the WCC Championships and 11-12 overall. He was also named to the WCC 2nd Team for Singles.

Coetzee, who carries a 3.52 GPA in school, was named 2nd Team for both singles and doubles this past season. He was 13-9 in singles and 9-11 at No. 1 doubles with Thomas Liversage. A total of twelve student-athletes from the WCC were selected to the Men's Tennis All-Academic Squad.

To be considered for this honor, a student-athlete must earn at least a 3.20 grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his or her team.
