LOS ANGELES - Third-year Loyola Marymount men's tennis Assistant Coach Renouk Wijemanne has been selected to play in his fifth Davis Cup. Wijemanne will represent his native Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka, recently promoted to Division Two of the Davis Cup, will host the tournament this week at the Sri Lank Tennis Association (SLTA) Courts.

Now in his third year as an assistant coach at LMU, Wijemanne came to the Lions after playing four seasons of collegiate tennis at UC Irvine. He graduated from UC Irvine in 2004 as a double major in mathematics and economics. While playing with the Anteaters, Wijemanne was a three-time Big West Conference Scholar-Athlete.
