Moraga, CA - The 2nd Annual Tee-Off For Tennis Invitational Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006 at the Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville, CA. This four-person scramble tournament starts at 12:30 p.m. (shotgun start) with a dinner and auction to follow.In addition to the golf tournament, a team tennis exhibition will be held from 10:30-11:30 featuring various pro's from the area and Saint Mary's players.
All proceeds raised benefit the Saint Mary's College Tennis Program. The tournament costs $250 per player ($175 for G.O.L.D. Alumni, SMC alumni classes 1997-2006). This includes green fees, cart, lunch, tee prizes, awards, driving range, refreshments, dinner, auction, and more! Additional dinner reservations may be purchased for $50.
Some exciting auction items available for bid this year include: a week's stay in beautiful Mission Hills (includes golf), one week stay at Sunriver Oregon Resort, six days/five nights in luxury condo in Waikiki, and a ride around Infinion Raceway in a Porsche 911.
The inaugural Saint Mary's College Tee-Off for Tennis Tournament was a huge success as the event raised more than $20,000 for the men's and women's tennis programs. Tennis legend, Vijay Amritraj served as the keynote speaker for the evening's banquet and captivated the student-athletes, alumni and sponsors with an address that stressed the importance of dedication, teamwork, and developing the collective learning of the student-athlete, as it provides a well-rounded education for the individual.
