Thomas Liversage Advances to 3rd Round of All-American

Tulsa, Okla.- The University of San Diego's Thomas Liversage, a senior from Johannesburg, South Africa, has advanced to the third round of the main draw for singles at the 2007 Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tennis Championship at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of Tulsa University. Liversage, with a preseason ranking of 60th in the nation, won both of his main draw matches today with wins over Billy Mertz of Alabama (6-4, 6-2), and a second round win over No. 3 seed Arnau Brugues of Tulsa (4-6, 6-3, 6-3). Mertz owns a national ranking of 42nd, while Brugues is the No. 3 ranked player in the nation in the Fila preseason rankings. Liversage will now face Florida's Greg Ouellette in tomorrow's 10 am match.
