Men's Tennis Competes at ITA National Indoors and SoCal Intercollegiate

Malibu, Calif. - Pepperdine's Andre Begemann and Omar Altmann are set to compete at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Tennis Championships hosted by The Ohio State University. Matches will take place at the Racquet Club in Columbus, Ohio from Nov. 2-5. The duo received an at-large bid into the doubles championships, while Begemann received an automatic bid after winning the singles championship of the ITA Western (South) Regionals on Oct. 23.

The championships will feature a 32-player singles field and 16-team doubles field for men and women.

Thursday's action will kick off with doubles at 11:45 a.m. when the Wave duo will face Julien Carsuzaa and Dennis Riegraf of Lynn University. Later that day, Begemann will face Jared Drucker of Columbia in the first round of singles at 5:30 p.m.

Men's tennis will also be playing at the Southern California Intercollegiate in Los Angeles, Calif. beginning on Friday. Senior Richard Johnson, junior Oliver Hyams and sophomore Troy Aiken will participate in the team's final tournament of the fall season.
