(San Francisco, CA) - USF men's tennis will compete at the Pacific Fall Invitational, hosted by the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA November 3-5. In their last tournament of the fall season, six players will represent the Green and Gold, including senior Matt Berry, USF's top seed in the event.
Players from UC Davis, Fresno Pacific, Nevada, Pacific and West Coast Conference competitor St. Mary's will join the Dons in singles and doubles action during the three day event.
At the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional, held October 20-23 at Stanford, Berry and sophomore Thong Tu enjoyed early wins in the singles bracket. Berry defeated Sacramento State's Warrick Foy 7-6(2); 6-1 to advance to the round of 32 and Tu overpowered Nevada's Gabe Kanzelmeyer 6-2; 6-2 and then defeated Cal's John Petit 6-2; 6-1 to move ahead into the round of 32.
