Gonzaga University head volleyball coach Kip Yoshimura has announced the hiring of Greg Goral as an assistant coach with the Bulldogs volleyball team

Gonzaga University head volleyball coach Kip Yoshimura has announced the hiring of Greg Goral as an assistant coach with the Bulldogs volleyball team. Goral comes to Gonzaga after serving two seasons as the second assistant at the University of Rhode Island. At Gonzaga Goral will serve as the Bulldogs top assistant coach.

A 1996 graduate of Carroll (Wis.) College, Goral brings with him more than 14 years of experience as a player and coach at all levels. Goral played collegiate club volleyball at Carroll College from 1992-96 serving as the team setter after helping to co-found the club team in 1992. He then coached several club and high school teams in Wisconsin area before breaking into the college coaching ranks in the fall of 2000 at Springfield (Mass.) College.

Goral served as an assistant coach at Springfield College while coaching the women??s junior varsity program. Springfield College won the 2001 New England Women??s and Men??s Athletic Conference title. In 2002 Goral moved on to Rhode Island where the Rams finished fourth and fifth in the Atlantic-10 Conference.

A native of Greendale, Wis., Goral also holds a masters?? degree in physical education from Springfield College. He will start with the Bulldogs at the end of January.
