MALIBU, Calif. - After competing just once last week, the second-ranked Waves will have thier hands full this week as the seventh-ranked UC Santa Barbara enters Firestone Fieldhouse for an early week match Tuesday and defending national champions BYU are in town for a Friday/Saturday series.
Pepperdine enters the week on the riding a four-match win streak, while UCSB has lost its last two and BYU has split the last four.
Sean Rooney leads the Wave attack averaging 5.41 kills per game, while Andy Hein is hitting at a .543 clip thus far. Outside hitter John Parfitt has started to come on strong of late, leading the team in kills in two of the last three matches with a career-best 23 against Long Beach State and 17 against USC.
Pepperdine will honor the 1985 national champion team prior to Saturday's match against BYU.
Match start times are 7:00 p.m. (PT) on Tuesday and Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
