After playing nine of its last 11 matches at home, the Pepperdine men's volleyball team will have to hit the road for its final four Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) matches beginning this week when it faces the Long Beach State 49ers and UC San Diego on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.

The Waves (17-1, 17-1 MPSF) are riding a 15-match win streak, the longest in the conference this season, which equals the second-longest single-season win streak in the program's history. During Pepperdine's current win streak, the Waves have defeated both LBSU (Jan. 27) and UCSD (Jan. 28) by scores of 3-2 and 3-0, respectively.

Andy Hein is hitting at a .527 clip this season to lead the NCAA, while Sean Rooney averages a team-leading 5.27 kills per game. Thursday night's match up will be a showcase of two of the top setters in the country as freshman Jonathan Winder averages 13.49 assists per game and Tyler Hildebrand checks in at 14.00. They rank 1-2 in Division I.

Thursday night's match will be aired via tape delay, but no time has been announced, on Charter Communications (Ch. 3 Long Beach/Signal Hill area).

Pepperdine remained the No. 1 team in the latest USA Today/CSTV polls, while Long Beach State is ranked #7. UC San Diego is unranked.

Thursday's match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (PT), with Saturday's match slated for 7:00 p.m.
