MALIBU, Calif. - In earning the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's (MPSF) No. 1 seed for the postseason tournament, Pepperdine University has earned the right to host the semi-final and final rounds of the conference tournament on April 28 and 30.
The tournament opens on Wed., April 20, as the #7 and #8 seeds compete in a play-in match with the winner advancing to the quarterfinal round against UCLA in Los Angeles on Sat., April 23. The rest of the quarterfinal pairings will not be determined until late Saturday night when all the conference teams have concluded their regular-season schedules.
The Waves receive an automatic berth into the MPSF semi-final round and will play the first match on Thurs., April 28, at 5 p.m. (PT) in Firestone Fieldhouse. The second semi-final match will get underway 30-minutes after the conclusion of the Pepperdine match or at 7:30 p.m., whichever is later. The MPSF Championship match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Sat., April 30, and will be aired on CSTV with Kevin Eschenfelder and Krista Blunk calling the action.
