MALIBU, Calif. - After posting a 23-2 record which included the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) tournament championship Saturday night, the Pepperdine Waves will enter this week's NCAA Championship as the four-team field's No. 1 seed. Penn State (EIVA) claimed the tournament's second seed, while UCLA earned the at-large bid and No. 3 seed with Ohio State (MIVA) rounding out the field.
Pepperdine (23-2) will open with Ohio State (24-7) Thursday night in the second semifinal match, scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. (PDT) at Pauley Pavilion. The first semifinal match is slated for a 7 p.m. first serve and will pit Penn State (30-3) against UCLA (25-5). Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
