WCC Champion Santa Clara and runner-up Pepperdine were both selected to host the first two rounds of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament as the 64-team bracket was unveiled this evening. Loyola Marymount also received an at-large bid.

Santa Clara (26-4) earned the 4th seed in the West region, and will face Big Sky champion Sacramento State (21-11) in the first round. Long Beach State and San Jose State will face off in the other first round match at SCU.

Pepperdine (23-6) earned the 4th seed in the Mideast region, and will open at home against MAAC champion Fairfield (26-6). The winner will face either Loyola (Ill.) or Kansas State in round two.

Loyola Marymount (20-8), joining SCU in the West region, travels to 3rd-seed UC Santa Barbara for their subregional for the second straight year. The Lions face a tough first round test against last year's national runner-up Stanford (18-11), while UCSB hosts Texas-San Antonio in the other first round match.
