Senior Brittanie Budinger had to 16 kills, Theresa Hart 11 and Teresa Russell 10 as the USF volleyball team stayed perfect by sweeping San Jose State 30-25, 30-20, 30-28 in non-conference victory Tuesday evening at Spartan Gym. USF hit .297 for the match while San Jose State ended the match hitting .209. The Lady Dons had 13 service aces and five blocks, while SJSU blocked seven balls and recorded six service aces.

The Lions used a total team performance to upset the seventh-ranked Gauchos in four games 30-27, 26-30, 30-19, 30-20. Middle blocker Dina DeBernardi recorded 23 kills with no errors, good for a .639 hitting percentage. As a team, LMU hit .338, compared to UC Santa Barbara's .211 average. LMU hit .618 in game three, compared to UCSB's best outing of .258 in the same game.
