September 3-The Saint Mary's women's volleyball team (2-2) fell to number one ranked Stanford in three straight games. The final scores were 30-26,30-19, 30-23. Leading the way for the Gaels were Jill Parmele with 11 kills and Brooke Lowry with 22 assists. In other action visiting Montana handed Gonzaga their fourth straight loss beating the Bulldogs for the seventh straight time.

Stanford was led by Sarah McGee who had an .813 hitting percentage and only one error in the match. Outside hitters Ogonna Nnamani and Lindsey Yamasaki combined for 26 kills on 54 attempts. Nnamani and McGee tied for a match high in kills, recording 14 a piece.

The Gaels will return to action in the Nike Pacific Invitational on September 13-15 in Stockton, CA., while the Bulldogs will travel to Bozeman, Montana for the Holiday Inn - Montana State Classic.
