After five games and close to three hours of competition, the Toreros beat #15 Minnesota 31-29, 30-28, 30-32, 19-30, 15-13. The win improves USD??s record to 5-2 and an impressive 3-1 throughout the weekend play.

Junior Noel Frohman was honored as an all-tournament preformer after leading the way for USD vs. Minnesota totaling a single game tournament high 22 kills and 61 attacks. Freshmen outside hitters Kristen Hurst and Jocelyne Roy were key contributors, combining on 25 kills and 30 digs in the winning effort over Minnesota.

USD??s afternoon match against Seton Hall lasted three games seeing the Toreros win 30-16, 30-20. 30-27. Senior middle blocker Lindsey Lampert had a game high 16 kills and added two blocks.

USD finished the tournament with a 3-1 record, sweeping Brown and losing in three straight to San Jose State on Friday.

The Toreros return to action Tuesday September 12th with a home match against CS Northridge before hosting the USD tournament in the Jenny Craig Pavilion Friday and Saturday the 14-15.
