September 22-The Saint Mary's women's volleyball team (3-6) was defeated by the University of Houston (8-4) in four games. Individual game scores were 26-30, 30-22, 22-30, and 25-30.

The Gaels were led by senior Brooke Lowry, who posted her third double-double of the season, recording 51 assists and 11 digs. Sophomore Lindsey Bogason also posted a double-double with 15 kills and 13 digs. Freshman Erin Gravert recorded a career high 12 kills in the match, while Jill Parmele and Meg Hauser contributed 14 kills and 12 digs, respectively.

Laura Koster and Jenny Tanneberger led Houston, as both players posted double-doubles in the match. Koster recorded 13 digs and 11 assists, while Tanneberger had 15 digs to go along with her 12 assists. Setter Donna Sellen also played a vital role for the Cougars as she recorded 46 of her teams 54 assists.

Saint Mary's will play San Jose State University on Friday, September 27 at the Event Center in San Jose. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
