Sep 29-For the second time this season, the West Coast Conference announced that Saint Mary's women's volleyball outside hitter, Jill Parmele was the WCC Player of the Week

Saint Mary's lone senior received tournament MVP honors at the TCU Molten Invitational last weekend. She has now earned the honor in every tournament that she has participated in this season for a total of four. Parmele totaled 94 kills in six matches on the week, posting an average of 15.67 per match. She catapulted SMC to a tournament title in the 2003 TCU Molten Invitational, which is the team's third of the season. Saint Mary's did not lose a single game in any match at the tournament. Parmele?s play helped the Gaels to an 5-1 record on the week with big victories over TCU, San Jose State, and St. Francis. She has also helped the Gaels to an overall season record of 13-4 and SMC's best win total since 1990, and a season tournament record of 12-1. Parmele?s 5.22 kills per game average was tops in the WCC last week, while she also averaged a league-high 6.11 points per game.
