Loyola Marymount (7-4, 2-0 WCC) compiled a 441 attack percentage Saturday night as the Lions defeated Gonzaga (3-9, 0-2 WCC) in three games at Martin Centre

Loyola Marymount (7-4, 2-0 WCC) compiled a .441 attack percentage Saturday night as the Lions defeated Gonzaga (3-9, 0-2 WCC) in three games at Martin Centre. The Lions won the contest 30-22, 30-17, and 30-24.

The Lions opened the game red hot as they finished game one with a .556 hitting percentage. Gonzaga compiled its best hitting game of the match at .333 but the Zags could not over come six kills by Kristen Gallup as the Lions won the opener 30-22.

LMU cooled off a bit in the second game hitting just .471 as Gallup and Kristen Kimball paced the Lions attack. LMU raced out to a 22-15 advantage as Jody Carlson served off five straight points for Loyola Marymount. Gonzaga was never able to close the gap registering only 11 kills in the LMU 30-17 win.

Gonzaga played tough in the early portion of game three as the teams traded points until midway through the game. Kimball served four straight points for Loyola Marymount as the Lions pushed out to a 30-24 win.

Abby Cullen led Gonzaga with 11 kills while Christina Davis finished with 10 for the Zags. Gallup led all players with 17 kills while Kimball finished with 12.
