The University of San Diego volleyball program is off to a 2-0 start in the WCC and a 9-3 overall mark after beating San Francisco 30-22, 21-30, 30-15, 30-25 on Saturday night.

USD?s Noel Frohman had a game-high 21 kills in 54 attempts vs. San Francisco, who now is 6-5 overall and 1-1 in the WCC.

San Francisco tied the match at one game each, winning game two 30-21. However, the Toreros answered with a decisive 30-15 win in game three. The fourth game stood at 24-22, before Torero senior middle-blocker Lindsey Lampert killed three balls in succession, sealing USD?s victory.

San Francisco received a strong effort from Teresa Russell who led the Dons with 17 kills and 14 digs.
