Oct. 15 -- Pepperdine's Katie Wilkins and Santa Clara's Toni Muratore earned WCC Co-Player of the Week accolades for thier performances over the weekend. Wilkins helped Pepperdine to a 2-0 mark this weekend againt #24 Santa Clara and San Francisco. The Waves are ranked #14 in the nation with a 10-2 overall record, 5-0 in the WCC.

Muratore, a freshman, led #24 Santa Clara to a 1-1 record this weekend, 11-6 overall (4-2 in WCC play).

Wilkins, a sophomore from Lakeside, Calif., dropped in 31 kills, hitting .309, against Santa Clara and San Francisco. Wilkins added 14 digs and seven blocks to her weekend performance. The outside hitter leads the league in kills (conference matches only) with 89 (5.24 per game) and is fourth in hitting percentage (.350). She has also compiled double-digit kills totals in all 12 of Pepperdine??s matches.

Muratore, a 6-2 middle blocker, was on fire this weekend, downing 33 kills in two matches, hitting an impressive .507. Muratore had only four errors in 58 attempts. She posted 18 kills against #15 Pepperdine, just one shy of her career high. Versus LMU, she totaled 15 kills and hit .542. Defensively, Muratore added two blocks in each of the contests.
