Oct. 26 -- Gonzaga (7-12, 3-5 WCC) held the early lead in each game Friday night but the Loyola Marymount Lions ( 11-7, 5-3 WCC) roared back to win each contest during a West Coast Conference Volleyball match Friday night at Gersten Pavilion. The Lions swept the season series with a three game victory 30-24, 30-21 and 20-24.

Kealani Kimball lead the Lions attack in the opener as the Lions rebounded from a three point deficit to win the opern 30-24. Kimball compiled five digs, two blocks and three kills in the opening game win while the Zags were led by Zuzana Tumova with five kills in the opener.

Abby Cullen attempted to spur the Zags to victory in the second game as she had six kills in a 30-21 Gonzaga loss. In the third game both teams traded the lead before Loyola Marymount was able to prevail 30-24. The lead would change hands eight times in the game before LMU could mount a late rally to put the game away. Nicole Oelhman led a late LMU charge during the wn.

Cullen and Tumova led Gonzaga with 11 kills each while Kimball was the only LMU player to reach double digits with 11 kills. Laura Gustorf had a match-high 13 kills for the Lions who host Portland in WCC action on Saturday.
