Santa Clara rose a spot to 14 in the most recent poll thanks to a pair of home wins over Gonzaga and Portland. Parmele tallied a West Coast Conference season-high 34 kills in the match against the Lions. Parmele totaled 69 points in the week for a 6.7 points per game average. The Gaels senior averaged .8 kills per game, which included 64 total kills in the three matches. Parmele also had a match-high 14 kills against then- Pepperdine on Friday. Katie Wilkins posted a double-double against Saint Marys as the Waves won 3-0 in Moraga. The Waves were put to the test against San Francisco, but Wilkins was up to the task. Pepperdine remains the leagues last undefeated team and is on a quest to win its 18th straight match. The Waves will have to go through the LMU Lions, who have won five of their last six. The Waves swept the LMU series (and the rest of the league schedule) in 001 and 00. Pepperdine recorded a hard fought 3-1 victory over LMU earlier this season. Santa Claras Kelli Sousa has solidified herself as one of the most productive setters in WCC history and currently sits in sixth on the all-time WCC assists list. The next night, Denison posted a career-best 7 kills and hit for .43, along with a career-best 16 digs vs. No. 18 ranked San Diego. For the week, Denison averaged an impressive .7 kills per game and hit .446. USF senior Brittanie Budinger posted a match-high 9 kills on .386 hitting, while Pepperdine's two-time All-American Katie Wilkins slammed 8 on .480 hitting on a night with plenty of offense. Budinger added a team-high 18 digs and a pair of blocks in a 3- loss to the Waves. On Friday night, Budinger stepped up against another top-0 WCC foe and performed brilliantly. She recorded a match-high -kills on .348 hitting to go along with 17 digs... Senior setter April Scoggin dished out 68 assists for the Dons against LMU. Scoggins assist total was second-highest mark for a five-game match this conference season. She trails only Ynez Carrasco by only 64 kills for the all-time kills mark in Bronco volleyball history. Her average of 4.31 kills per game ranks second in SCU history, trailing Carrasco by only 0.03 kills per game. Her .9 hitting percentage ranks third in Santa Clara history, trailing only Brooke Terhune and Amy Kohl...Kelli Sousa has 1,66 assists this season, she now has 4,767 for her career, the second highest total in program history.
