Nov. 5 -- The Oregon Ducks ended their 15 match losing streak by beating the Portland Pilots 3-1. The Pilots won the first game which was close throughout by a score of 33-31. The second game went to the Ducks in another close game, 30-27. The third game was led most of the way by the Ducks, as they went on to win the game 30-24. Game four went to Oregon 30-26, giving them the victory over the Pilots.

The Pilots fall to 6-16 overall. The Ducks improve to 9-16 overall in the Pac-10.

The Ducks blocked well throughout the match, totaling 17 blocks to Portland's 6.

Junior middle blocker Anna Abatzoglou had a career high 18 kills for the Pilots on 43 attempts. Bridget DeChant recorded 17 kills for Portland, along with three aces and 16 digs. Sophomore setter Sara Engstrom led UP with 29 assists.
