The Waves won by scores of 30-21, 26-30, 30-18, 30-22 to conclude the regular season with a 21-3 overall record and a perfect 14-0 mark in WCC play. The undefeated league mark represents the second time in the last three years that Pepperdine has gone unbeaten in WCC action and the sixth time overall.
Saint Mary's ended its season with a 5-21 overall record and a 2-12 mark in the WCC.
The 21 victories marks the third straight season that Pepperdine has won at 20 matches and the 11th time since 1984. The Waves also extend their winning streak to a season-high 11 matches.
Junior middle blocker Stacy Rouwenhorst and senior outside hitter Melissa Snow also recorded double-doubles for the Waves. Rouwenhorst totaled 15 kills, 13 digs and posted a .714 hitting percentage, while Snow tallied 13 kills and 10 digs.
Pepperdine hit .315 for the match, while Saint Mary's posted a .217 hitting mark.
By virtue of winning the WCC title, Pepperdine received an automatic berth into this year's 64-team NCAA Tournament berth. The Waves will now await word on where and when they open post-season play.
The entire NCAA Tournament field will be announced on Monday, November 26.
