The Lions (15-10/8-6 WCC) dominated most of Game 1 but quickly gave up that lead as San Diego (21-8/10-4) tied things at 22-22. The Toreros rolled from that point on, taking the lead and never relinquishing it winning the game, 30-28. USD went up two games to none with a decisive 30-16 victory in Game 2. LMU was held to a -.023 hitting percentage in that game. The Toreros closed the book and ended the evening with a 30-25 win in Game 3, sweeping the match 3-0.
Gallup was the only Lion which recorded double-digit kills; she hit .278 for the night. Junior Laura Gustorf led the Lions defensively with 20 digs while freshman Dina DeBernardi collected six blocks for LMU, tying for the match high.
USD's Devon Forster tied for the match-high with 15 kills. Noel Frohman followed with 11 kills on the night. Kristen Hurst was the Toreros' defensive stopper, she picked up six blocks tying LMU's DeBernardi for the match high.
