The Pepperdine Waves clinched a share of the WCC crown and remain at 4 in this weeks poll. Santa Clara stays at 13 after earning road victories over Saint Marys and San Francisco. Loyola Marymount moves up a spot to 16 after posting wins 3 and 4 against Gonzaga and Portland.lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; Sophomore Lindsey Sherburne already ranks fourth on the San Diego career assists list with ,840 in her two seasons as a Torero. Sherburne could become the first San Diego setter to ever lead the WCC in assists average (14.9 per game). During the last eight seasons, the assists leader in the WCC has come from Pepperdine or Santa Clara. This could be a tall order considering the Waves are on a league record-breaking 0 match winning streak this season. Pepperdine won the meeting earlier this year between the two teams on CSTV by the score of 3-1. Kimball then led the Lions to their program-best home record of 14-1 on Saturday evening against the Pilots, recording 17 kills, 14 digs, two aces, and two blocks. OConnor tied Santa Claras Becky Potter, who had 14 blocks in the same match as OConnor...Saint Marys blocks against Santa Clara is the WCC match high this season. The Gaels now hold the 1st, nd and 3rd highest team block totals among WCC teams this season, two of which were accomplished last weekend against SCU and San Diego (0. blocks).lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13;lt;bgt;San Diegolt;/bgt;lt;brgt; The Toreros had a tough weekend as they caught a San Francisco and San Diego squad firing on all cylinders on Friday and Saturday. Budinger finished with 1,48 and now sits 18 kills shy of entering the WCC top 10 career kills leaders...Caroline Skacel recorded 10 digs against the Broncos and became the fourth player in program history to surpass 1,000 career digs...San Franciscos victory over then- San Diego is the second ranked win for the Dons this season. USF also defeated Washington State in the season opens. Her 11 block assists and 14 total blocks at Saint Mary's each tied school records in their respective categories. She is only 1 kills away from breaking the all-time school record for career kills. Potter currently has 1,734 kills, 1,088 digs and 37 total blocks in her career at Santa Clara...Santa Clara will go into the NCAA tournament battle tested.
