Pepperdine Tops No. 14 Rutgers in Overtime Thriller

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) - Teena Wickett and Teiosha George scored 21 points apiece Friday as Pepperdine upset No. 14 Rutgers 75-73 in overtime.

Rutgers has opened the season with two-straight losses. The Lady Knights lost to No. 9 Georgia in their opener Sunday.

Wickett added 12 rebounds for the Waves (2-1).

Rutgers led 31-28 at halftime, and the game was tied at 63 at the end of regulation.

Essence Carson led Rutgers (0-2) with 18 points and six assists and Epiphanny Prince scored 15.
