(San Luis Obispo, CA) - USF closed its two-game road trip with a 60-38 loss to Cal Poly in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Mott Gym. The Dons (3-5) did not score until the 14:19 mark in the first half and the Mustangs (4-3) never trailed in the contest in snapping an eight game losing streak against USF.
San Francisco shot at a dismal .255 (14-55) from the field, including a woeful .231 (6-26) rate in the second half. USF connected on just one 3-pointer in 15 attempts (.067).
Sophomore guard Shay Rollins was the lone bright spot for the Dons, tallying a career-high 18 points on 7-of-12 from the field. Rollins notched her previous career best of 17 against the Mustangs in a 71-67 win last November 29. Senior forward Nickie Warren pulled down a game-high eight rebounds.
USF returns to action Sunday, December 10 when it hosts Boise State in non-conference action. Tip-off against the Broncos is set for 2:00 PM at War Memorial Gym.
