Preview: The Gonzaga Bulldogs are 4-3 in West Coast Conference openers under eighth year head coach Kelly Graves, including 3-1 in home openers. The Bulldogs have won their last four WCC opening contests, which includes three at home in the McCarthey Athletic Center. The Zags enter the match-up coming off a 67-43 victory over Saint Joseph's on the road, and are 9-6 on the season. The Pepperdine Waves are 2-2 in their last four WCC season openers with both wins on the road. The Waves are currently 5-8 and have dropped their last six contests, with four games decided by five points or less.

Match-Up History: Pepperdine leads the all-time series with Gonzaga 28-17. The Waves and Zags split the WCC series a season ago, as Gonzaga earned a 58-35 victory in Malibu, and Pepperdine took a 70-56 decision in Spokane.
