Saint Mary's junior guard Jackie Nared is WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Saint Mary's junior guard Jackie Nared is the WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Nared led the Gaels to a 54-51 win over Gonzaga last Thursday night in Moraga.

Nared scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the three-point win over Gonzaga last week in a battle of unbeaten teams in conference play, SMC's lone game of the week. She also added two assists and one steal while not committing a turnover.

Nared knocked down two key free-throws with six seconds to go in the game against GU that gave SMC its final margin of victory. Saint Mary's has now four games in a row.
