Unbeaten-BYU women's basketball visits 3-1 Gonzaga Thursday night

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- After the second week of conference play, both BYU and Saint Mary's are 3-0. Gonzaga and Santa Clara aren't far behind at 2-1 and 3-1, respectively. The Cougars visit the Bulldogs Thursday night at 6 p.m. PST.

WCC QUICK HITS

  • BYU is 3-0 to start conference play and has won nine games in a row. Senior guard Haley Steed leads the NCAA with 7.9 assists per contest. The Cougars will travel to Spokane for a 6 p.m. PST contest at Gonzaga (2-1 WCC) Thursday night.

  • Saint Mary's is 3-0 in WCC play and ranked No. 30 in the latest NCAA Women's Basketball RPI. The Gaels topped previously-unbeaten Gonzaga 54-51 in Moraga last Thursday.

  • The February 21st matchup between Gonzaga and Santa Clara will be televised nationally on NBC Sports Network at 6 p.m. PST.
