Gonzaga junior guard Haiden Palmer is WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Gonzaga junior guard Haiden Palmer is the WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Palmer led the Bulldogs to a 3-0 record last week and averaged 15.3 points, four rebounds, 3.7 steals and three assists per game.

Palmer began the week by scoring 13 points and added five rebounds, four assists and three steals in an 82-51 win at Portland last Monday in 24 minutes of play.

Palmer followed that up with 11 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals at the Zags snapped BYU's nine-game winning streak with a 74-59 victory over the Cougars on Thursday night.

In GU's third game of the week, Palmer scored a game-high 22 points in the Bulldogs' 62-50 win at San Diego. She scored eight of the team's final 12 points and also had a game-high six steals plus four rebounds and two assists.
