Gonzaga junior guard Haiden Palmer is WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Gonzaga junior guard Haiden Palmer is the WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Month for the second time this season. Palmer led the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record last week.

Palmer averaged 13 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game last week as the Zags improved to 8-1 in the WCC and maintained their one-game lead over BYU and Saint Mary's.

In a 79-57 win over Loyola Marymount last Thursday, Palmer dished a career-high six assists, had five steals and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds to go with nine points.

Palmer followed that up with a game-high 17 points in an 81-52 win over Pepperdine on Saturday. She shot 50% from the field to go along with five assists, four steals and four rebounds.
