Top four WCC women's basketball teams separated by a game and a half

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- A game and a half separates the top four teams in the West Coast Conference. Gonzaga, 8-1 in the WCC travels to San Francisco and Loyola Marymount this week. BYU (6-2) hosts San Diego (7-3) and travels to Saint Mary's (6-2) on Saturday.

WCC QUICK HITS

  • Four WCC teams are currently in the NCAA RPI Top 100: (37) Saint Mary's, (50) Gonzaga, (72) BYU and (83) San Diego.

  • The February 21st matchup between Gonzaga and Santa Clara will be televised nationally on NBC Sports Network at 6 p.m. PST.

  • BYU guard Haley Steed leads the NCAA with 7.7 assists per game. She is also third in the country with a 2.75 assist to turnover ratio. Gonzaga's Jazmine Redmond is 16th in the nation with a 2.34 assist to turnover ratio.

  • Gonzaga is eighth in the NCAA with a 37.9 three-point field goal percentage. Pepperdine is 26th with a 35.3 mark from beyond the arc.

  • Saint Mary's forward Danielle Mauldin is averaging 11.3 rebounds per contest, good for 17th in the country. She has 11 double-doubles this season, which is tied for 18th best in the nation.
