WEST COAST CONFERENCE QUICK HITS

  • Through February 10, WCC teams own a 57.5% winning percentage vs. non-conference foes. See page 2 for more.
  • BYU junior guard Lexi Eaton is the WCC Player of the Week after averaging 30.5 points and 11.0 rebounds.  RELEASE
  • The 2015 West Coast Conference Hall of Honor Class was released last week. Included are seven former basketball standouts.  COMPLETE RELEASE
  • The West Coast Conference is second in all of Division I in conference free throw percentage (71.90).*
  • BYU’s Lexi Eaton ranks 21st in career free throws (375) and 26th in career points (1,086) among active NCAA Division 1 players.
  • Pacific’s Kendall Kenyon ranks fifth among active NCAA Division I leaders in career rebounds (1,043), 16th in rebound average (9.1) and 5th in career double-doubles (45).
  • San Diego’s Sophia Ederaine ranks third among active NCAA Division I career leaders in blocked shots (299) and is 11th in blocked shots average (2.47).
  • San Diego’s Malina Hood is sixth overall among Division I leaders in 3 point field goals per game (3.10).
  • Santa Clara’s Nici Gilday ranks third overall amound Division 1 leaders in free throw percentage (92.5).
  • San Diego ranks second in all of Division I in offensive rebounds (18.0) and second in blocked shots (7.3).
  • Saint Mary’s ranks eigth in Division 1 rebound margin (11.0).
  • For the second time in three years, two WCC teams - Gonzaga and BYU - competed in the NCAA Tournament.
  • BYU marched to the 2014 NCAA Sweet-16 before bowing to eventual National Champion UConn.
  • Three WCC teams - Pacific, Saint Mary’s and San Diego competed in the 2014 WNIT Postseason Tournament.
