SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- With just two weeks of conference play left, there is a lot to be settled in the WCC standings. BYU and Gonzaga are separated by a half game, while San Diego is just a half game out of second place.

QUICK HITS

  • BYU defeated No. 18 Gonzaga 70-40 last Thursday in Provo. The Cougars are ranked No. 23 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 and trail the Bulldogs by a half game in the WCC standings. The Zags are ranked No. 23 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

  • The West Coast Conference has three teams ranked in the latest NCAA Women's Basketball RPI top 60. Gonzaga, who is ranked No. 23 in this week's ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, is No. 34. BYU is No. 40 and Saint Mary's is No. 51.

  • Gonzaga University was one of 16 institutions selected to host the first and second rounds of the 2013 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament as announced by the NCAA.

  • Loyola Marymount redshirt-junior Alex Cowling leads the WCC and is 8h in the NCAA with 22.3 points per game. Cowling also leads the conference with 8.7 rebounds per contest.
