SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga University women's basketball player Stephanie Hawk has been named the West Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week as announced by the conference office. Hawk shares the weekly honor with Amanda DeCoud of Loyola Marymount.

Hawk helped Gonzaga capture its third-straight West Coast Conference regular-season title as the Bulldogs knocked off the University of San Diego, who was vying for the title as well, and the University of San Francisco. The senior finished the weekend averaging a double-double of 13.0 points and 11.5 rebounds. Against the Toreros, Hawk scored 12 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds. She also dished out three assists and made one steal in the 71-58 victory. In the Zags 57-37 win over the Dons, Hawk scored 14 points and brought down 10 rebounds. She also had three blocks in the victory.

The WCC Player of the Week selection marks the fifth time this season that Hawk has earned the honor, and marks the seventh selection for Gonzaga. The 6-3 forward, who was named WCC Co-Player of the Year today, is averaging a team-best 14.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.

Gonzaga will face the University of Portland in the second game of Thursday opening round session of the West Coast Conference Tournament. The Bulldogs, who finished the WCC with a 13-1 record, will play at 2:00 p.m.
