SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Women's Basketball Player of the Week for March 2, 2015. This is the final weekly honor of the 2014-15 season.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - TAYLOR PROCTOR, JR., F - SAN FRANCISCO
Junior forward Taylor Proctor led San Francisco to two strong road wins to cap the regular season in style. In USF's victories over Saint Mary's and Pacific, Proctor posted a stat line of 20.0 points on .593 shooting, 9.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
In Thursday's wire-to-wire win at Saint Mary's, the first in Moraga since 2008, Proctor contributed 14 points, seven rebounds and a game-high five assists as the Dons held on to win 65-63.
Saturday, the forward from Colorado Springs, Colo., finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds, her sixth double-double of the season. The Dons went on to win 91-79 to close out the regular season with 17 wins, a mark not seen since 2001-02.
As a team, the Dons were solid up and down the lineup, shooting 51 percent from the field, 80 percent from the free throw line and coming away with a +5 turnover margin.
