WEST COAST CONFERENCE POSTSEASON QUICK HITS

  • For the second straight season and for the third time in four years, the West Coast Conference is sending two teams to the NCAA Tournament: No. 14 BYU and No. 11 Gonzaga. This marks the 10th time that two WCC teams have advanced to the NCAA postseason.
  • A record four West Coast Conference programs captured berths in the 2015 WNIT - Pacific, Saint Mary's, San Diego and San Francisco.
  • The six teams competing in the 2015 postseason (two NCAA, four WNIT) establishes a new conference record. Last season five teams competed in the postseason (BYU, Gonzaga - NCAA; Pacific, Saint Mary's and San Diego - WNIT).
  • The West Coast Conference owns an all-time record of 12-30 in the NCAA Postseason (30 overall berths) and is 18-27 in the WNIT (28 overall berths).
  • No. 11 Gonzaga advances to its seventh straight NCAA Tournament (eighth overall) and won its 11th straight WCC regular season title in 2014-15.
  • No. 14 BYU is making its 11th NCAA Tournament appearance and third in its last four years. The Cougars marched to the 2014 NCAA Sweet-16.
  • Pacific is making its second straight WNIT appearance as a WCC member, fifth overall.
  • Saint Mary's is making its sixth straight WNIT appearance (eighth overall) and owns an overall record of 6-7.
  • San Francisco is making its second WNIT appearance (2002).
  • San Diego is making its fifth WNIT appearance (fourth consecutive) and owns an overall record of 7-4 in the event.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE QUICK HITS

  • Through March 17, WCC teams own a 57.5% winning percentage vs. non-conference foes. See page 2 for more.
  • The West Coast Conference is second in all of Division I in conference free throw percentage (73.01).
  • BYU's Lexi Eaton ranks 16th in career free throws (424) and 28th in career points (1,723) among active NCAA Division 1 players.
  • Pacific's Kendall Kenyon ranks fifth among active NCAA Division I leaders in career rebounds (1,119) and 17th in rebound average (9.2) and fifth in career double-doubles (48).
  • San Diego's Sophia Ederaine ranks second among active NCAA Division I career leaders in blocked shots (337) and is 12th in blocked shots average (2.63).
  • San Diego's Malina Hood is 13th overall among Division I leaders in 3 point field goals per game (2.89).
  • Santa Clara's Nici Gilday ranks first overall amound Division 1 leaders in free throw percentage (94.5).
  • San Diego ranks fifth in all of Division I in offensive rebounds (18.0) and second in blocked shots (7.0).
  • Saint Mary's ranks eighth in Division 1 rebound margin (11.0).
