WCCTV Catches Up With Gonzaga's Vivian Frieson

WCCTV caught up with Gonzaga senior forward Vivian Frieson, the hero of the Bulldogs' 72-71 victory over Texas A&M in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs will face No. 3 seeded Xavier University in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in Sacramento on Saturday at 8:30 PM (PT).

Frieson finished with 23 points against Texas A&M, two off tying her season high. She scored 13 points in the opening frame and hit the gamewinning jumper with 17.8 second left in the contest. Frieson also added nine rebounds, dished out five assists, blocked four shots and had three steals in 38 minutes of action.

The Bulldogs, 29-4 overall, are making their first appearance in school history in the Sweet Sixteen and the first for a WCC women's team since the San Francisco Dons in the 1996 season. The game time for the Zags vs. Musketeer contest, to be held at Arco Arena in Sacramento, is set for 8:32 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN2.
