April 29, 2007

(San Francisco) - USF women's basketball honored the 2006-07 season and the careers of its four member senior class with a banquet Sunday night at the Maraschi Room in Fromm Hall on the USF campus. It was an opportunity for the team, coaches, staff, family and supporters to look back on an exciting season before focusing on the promise of the future.

Veteran USF play-by-play announcer George Devine served as Master of Ceremony and recapped the ups and downs of the 31st season of basketball on the Hilltop. First year head coach Tanya Haave added her comments on her first season at the helm of the Green and Gold.

Each USF underclassman introduced one of their teammates in a popular segment, while Haave introduced the three seniors in attendance - KeLicia Shorts, Breann Sitton and Nickie Warren. Each senior was presented with a framed jersey.

Each assistant coach introduced two team award-winners apiece. A fun highlight video, produced by assistant coach Marta Menuez capped the evening.
