WCC To Announce Future Location of Basketball Championships

SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- The West Coast Conference will hold a press conference on Wednesday, July 22 at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) to make a formal announcement regarding the future location of the WCC Basketball Championships. The announcement will be streamed live on WCCsports.com and will feature WCC Commissioner Jamie Zaninovich, University of Portland Men's Basketball Head Coach Eric Reveno and Saint Mary's College Athletic Director Mark Orr.

The West Coast Conference hosted its first-ever neutral site basketball championship in 2009 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, and enjoyed record-setting success. The conference shattered WCC Basketball Championship attendance records for total attendance (33,320), single session attendance (7,845), men's basketball championship game attendance (7,845), and women's basketball championship game attendance (3,190). In addition, the event sold out of men's basketball all-session passes two weeks prior to the start of the tournament.
