Toreros Helped Raise Money at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's basketball team participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® walk on October 21 to help raise money for Breast Cancer research. There was over 20,000 walkers and over $1.2 million dollars raised by all who participated.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is so much more than a just a walk; it is a movement to create hope and change for those facing breast cancer and for those who might some day face the disease. The issue is of utmost importance to the American Cancer Society.

The Toreros will take to the court on Saturday in their first exhibition game of the 2007-08 season against the Melbourne Roos at USD's Jenny Craig Pavilion with a 7 p.m. Tip-off.
