SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week for November 11, 2013.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK – KENDALL KENYON, JR., F; JACKIE NARED, SR. G, SAINT MARY’S
Pacific junior Kendall Kenyon had a career night with 27 points and 24 rebounds, while Saint Mary’s senior Jackie Nared averaged 27.5 points per game to share West Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors.

Kenyon set career highs in points and rebounds with 27 points and 24 boards in the Tigers' win over Cal State Stanislaus. Kenyon's 24 rebounds were the most by a Pacific player since 1984, three off the school record, and tied the WCC conference member record. Kenyon accomplished the feat despite playing just 26 minutes. It was the second 20-plus rebound game of Kenyon's career, and she surpassed 500 career boards in the process. She's now on pace to break Pacific's career rebounding record after setting a new Pacific single-season record last season.

Nared led the Gaels to two victories to open the 2013-14 season. In the season opener, Nared came within one point of the school single-game scoring record with 37 points and 11 rebounds in a 91-81 win over Washington. She connected on 14-of-19 from the field, including 5-for-6 from behind the arc and keyed a late run for Saint Mary’s, which ended the game on a 28-8 run. The 37-point outburst is tied for eighth place in WCC single-game history and is the highest output by a conference player since USD’s Michelle Augustavo had 42 against Clemson in 2005.

Nared followed up her career-high with a solid all-around game in Saint Mary’s 72-54 win at Portland State. The Portland native scored 18 points on 7-for-13 shooting to go along with six assists, four rebounds and two blocks against the Vikings.

For the week, Nared averaged 27.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals.  She shot 65.6 percent from the field (21-of-32), while going 7-for-11 from three-point range.

Also nominated: Haiden Palmer, Gonzaga; Bria Richardson, Pepperdine; Amy Kame, San Diego; Nici Gilday, Santa Clara
