Loyola Marymount junior guard Hazel Ramirez is WCC W. Basketball Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Women's Basketball Player of the Week for November 19, 2012.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
HAZEL RAMIREZ, JR., G, LOYOLA MARYMOUNT

Loyola Marymount junior guard Hazel Ramirez is the WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Ramirez averaged 14.3 points, 8.7 assists, 4.7 steals and 2.7 rebounds last week.

On Monday at New Mexico State, Ramirez scored 20 points to go along with five assists and four steals as the Lions fell 77-76 in overtime.

Three days later, Ramirez helped LMU pick up its first win, nearly picking up a triple-double with eight points, nine assists and seven steals. On Saturday, she led the Lions to their second consecutive win, a 98-81 victory over Utah State. She finished with 15 points and an LMU all-time single-game record 12 assists for her first career double-double.
