For the second straight weekend, the Pepperdine women's basketball team will host a home tournament as Iowa State, Virginia Tech and Tennessee Tech join the Waves for the Thanksgiving Tournament Friday and Saturday at Firestone Fieldhouse.

This weekend will mark the first time this season that Pepperdine (2-2) does not face a ranked opponent. But by virtue of its 75-73 overtime victory over then-No. 14 Rutgers last weekend, the Waves are receiving votes in the most recent USA Today Coaches' Poll.

Teiosha George's 12.8 points per game leads the Waves, while Daphanie Kennedy was tabbed West Coast Conference (WCC) co-Player of the Week for her efforts in leading Pepperdine to a second-place finish at last weekend's Timeout for HIV/AIDS Classic.

The Cyclones and Hookies will open the two-day tournament at 1:00 p.m. PT, with Pepperdine and Tennessee Tech to follow at 3:30 p.m. Saturday's match-ups will be based on the outcome of Friday's games with the Golden Eagles playing at 1:00 p.m. and the Waves wrapping up the tournament at 3:30 p.m.
