SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for December 2, 2013.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – DANIELLE MAULDIN, SR., F, SAINT MARY’S
Danielle Mauldin helped Saint Mary’s to another unbeaten week and captures WCC weekly honors for the second straight time. The Saint Mary’s Hilton-Concord Thanksgiving Classic Co-Most Outstanding Player led the Gaels to wins over Alabama (86-76) and Toledo (81-57) over the weekend.
Mauldin poured in 21 points on 67% from the field to go along with 18 rebounds, to help the Gaels claim the championship game over Toledo, who has won the MAC in two of the last three seasons. Mauldin also had a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double and a career-high four blocks in the win over the Crimson Tide. For the week, Mauldin averaged 17.5 points, 15.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. She shot 56.5 percent from the field and made 9-for-11 from the free-throw line.
