Last week both the men's and the women's squads represented the WCC well as the men went 8-6 while the women went 11-4 against non-conference opponents.

Appearing on this week's episode will be Saint Mary's Men's Head Coach Randy Bennett and senior forward Ben Allen, and Gonzaga senior guard Matt Bouldin. On the women's side, we will be joined by Portland Head Coach Jim Sollars and San Francisco Head Coach Tanya Haave and junior forward Donnisha Taylor.

Coach Bennett has his team on a roll at 8-1 and receiving votes in the ESPN Coaches Poll. The Gaels are coming off big road wins at Utah State and Oregon and host Portland State and Pacific this week. Since losing by just two points to Vanderbilt, who was ranked in the top 30 at the time, Coach Bennett and the Gaels have reeled off six straight victories. Allen got off to a fast start to the season earning a share of the first WCC Player of the Week award of the year and is currently fourth in the league in rebounding (7.4rpg).

Bouldin has earned himself numerous accolades already having been named to the Wooden Award Watch List as one of the top 50 players heading into the season. He was also named a Co-MVP at the prestigious Maui Invitational earlier this season and ranks in the top five in the league in scoring, assists, steals, and three-pointers made. This Saturday, the Zags will take on No. 7 Duke in a nationally televised game on CBS.

Coach Sollars has led the Pilots to a 7-3 record with the last two wins coming on the road against Idaho and Washington State. After losing the first two games of the season, Portland has now won seven of its last eight contests. The Pilots also avenged a loss to Portland State, who beat them in the first round of the WNIT last season.

Coach Haave is preparing her team for games against some quality competition, as the Dons will play at Washington State this week before returning to home to face her alma mater, No. 3 Tennessee the following week. Taylor is coming off a career performance in which she pulled down 17 rebounds in a game against Cal Poly. She is currently ranked second in the league with 97 boards on the season.
