San Diego's Katelyn McDaniel Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Women's Basketball Player of the Week for December 16, 2013. 

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - KATELYN MCDANIEL, JR., F, SAN DIEGO
Junior forward Katelyn McDaniel helped lead San Diego to a thrilling 68-51 road victory over Long Beach State in the Toreros lone contest of the week. With the win, the Toreros continue their best start in program history at 10-0, and stands as the only remaining undefeated WCC team.   

McDaniel recorded her fourth double-double in the past five games, with a team-high 11 points and a career-high 18 rebounds to lead all players in this category.  She also dished out a season-high three assists and tied a career-high three steals. McDaniel averages 10.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game and is tied for fourth among WCC double-double leaders with four.
